What is an Iron Decontamination?
Iron decontamination is a chemical process that removes embedded iron particles from your vehicle’s paint, wheels, and other surfaces. These iron particles—often from brake dust, rail dust, or industrial fallout—bond to the paint and can cause long-term damage like rust spots, clear coat deterioration, and rough texture.
The decontamination product reacts with the iron, breaking it down and safely lifting it from the surface. This step is crucial for maintaining a smooth, clean surface and is often done before applying protection like wax.
